This plant thrives in arid environments, often found in rocky hillsides and canyons. It typically reaches a height of 3 to 5 feet and a spread of 2 to 4 feet, with slender, arching branches and lance-shaped leaves. The bright orange-red tubular flowers bloom from late spring to fall, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies, making it a popular choice for wildlife gardens.
